Small and Luminous

written: January 11, 2026

I am in love with humanity.

With the way we keep choosing morning.
With how we carry tenderness
through centuries of forgetting how.

With hands that learn kindness late.
With voices that shake and still speak.
With hearts that forgive
before they know how to be safe.

We are made of the same dust,
the same ancient beginning,
the same light wearing different faces.

Humanity builds.
Humanity breaks.
Humanity remembers.
Humanity tries again.

We cry in ordinary rooms.
We laugh in places we thought we would not survive.
We fall in love with small moments
and call them proof.

We are unfinished,
and still, we are beautiful for continuing.

We are small and luminous.
Temporary and real.

This is humanity,
and I am in love with it.
